what does March look like?

I actually chased a rainbow the other evening, after another of the kind of rains that portend the arrival of spring. The rainbow had moved on leaving a brilliant, fabulous sky. It has been quite a while since I took a photo stroll, guess I've been impatient with the gray, damp chill of earlier weeks... so unfriendly to my arthritis; but I was drawn out by the fiery hues that seared the gray flat expanse and lit the grass and first crocuses with an unearthly glow.

Then I noticed the colors of the March Calendar Girl. Carbury Neal, of Vermont, one of the members of the swap group I belong to, used the very same palette. Intentional or intuitive? I'm not sure but she nailed it for sure.
I anticipate the arrival of Miss April any day now. (My month is June so I have plenty of time:)

I wanted to share the girls of the first three months. It's amazing how many variations one concept can conjure. That used to be a frightening concept for me, no right way, no guidelines even, a vague idea and the rest is left to the artist's imagination. I don't worry like I used to (last year:) and find myself embracing the challenge.
So far I've loved them all - Miss January was created by Carol Moore who has a fabulous new blog - go check it out! February's doll, with her gorgeous red attire - I LOVE the skirt - was designed by Kathy Masone. At the end of the year I'm going to put them together, try to find the best way for making a book. Maybe:)

There are several other goodies that I've been waiting to post - like my amazing OWOH gift! My computer, beloved laptop, right arm, communication with the world, has been sent off for warranty repair. This machine old and I can't do justice to the photographs.

Next week when we come back from Asheville, North Carolina, where we'll relax and enjoy a beautiful cabin in the woods, I'm hoping my computer will be waiting, smiling and happy - and ready to work!!

To all who are traveling, getting ready for spring break trips, be safe, have fun and come back next week to say hello!!!!
