Another Journal Page

I did this page the other day. It was the end of a long day spent iced in and I was really tired, and in a hurry. But so far, it's my favorite, though I haven't ventured very far from the yellow/gold base color that I've used on most all the pages.

There doesn't seem to be any way to predict this process, whether the images will be cohesive, if I'll like the way the pages look... I suppose that is the real beauty of doing this in the first place. To loosen up and let go, freedom from the over-thinking that rules most every area of my life.

So, now it's time to start the actual journaling part - writing on these pages? They seem sacrosanct, like doing a collage and then writing all over it. Obviously, after having struggled through this entire reverse process, I still have miles to go. Being a writer, this should be the easiest part. We'll see.

Those colors work for me and as long as you are loving them and you are gravitating to them, keep doing it.
I sort of think that the writing pulls it all together especially if you are feeling that it might be a little disjointed, for lack of a better word. So far it works for me and.... please post it after you journal. I would love to see it then.
Hope the ice is melting away fast.

Hi Patti, I love this page! Your "doodling" (I know how much you love that word, lol) is wonderful. I just love the tree growing out of the palm of the hand - that's such a magical image for me. I agree with Jane, if you are comfy with that color scheme, go with it. Since the whole process is pretty new for you, it's nice to have that foundation to build upon. Looking forward to the next layer!

Patti, I think it looks great, too. Writing gets easier. I started with only a few words each day, more like a to-do list, than journaling. Then I loosened up and started rambling to myself. It's rather fun.

It looks great, I think the part of trying something new is just not having preconceived notions on how it should be and just let it be,it's all about experimenting and you're doing a wonderful job at it!!

Lovely page. I think when we are tired, many times are resistance is down and so beautiful things emerge. Does that mean during ordinary, everyday life we are resisting? Hmmm, now there's a subject to ponder on... :)

Love your page, Patti! I'm sorry I didn't sign up for that workshop ... just had too much going on when it started.
